Experience the delight of afternoon tea, often referred to as high tea, in our tea parlor. Traditional afternoon tea is served in two unique dining rooms for your pleasure, the girly chic Paris Pink Dining Room and Gigi's cozy Fleur de Leis Drawing Room. We also offer several themed birthday tea-party packages for girls ages 5-105 in our Garden Gate Party Room, such as the Princess Tea Party, a Webkinz Party, and the more grown-up BFF Par-T.

What exactly is "having tea" at Sisters?  Do you remember enjoying cups of tea with your grandmother? Have you ever hosted imaginary tea parties with your teddy bears and dolls? Or, have you ever been whisked away by a great Victorian novel where the heroine and her closest confidants solved all their woes over a good "cuppa"?
Sisters is bringing both the memories and the romance to life.  In each of Sisters' lovely dining rooms, our dining tables are beautifully set with lace, silver, crystal and china with every guest in mind. Our parlor menu offers light Casual Teas consisting of a pot of tea and  Scone all the way to decadent three-tiered tea trays filled to overflowing!

Each of our Afternoon Tea selections include guests’ choice of bottomless pot and two or three-tiered tea tray filled with exquisite Southern Scones, Sweets and Savories.  Our tea menu includes over 80 specialty teas and promises to delight the cautious and the thrill-seeker. If, by chance, you do not love the tea you order, your tea server will gladly replace it with another choice.  After placing your selections, you will be invited to dress up at our "Dress-Up for Grown-Ups Vanity", complete with fancy hats of every kind, luxurious silk wraps, tiaras, strings of pearls, and antique gloves. Who said dress up was just for little girls?

Sisters Tea Parlor & Boutique is the dream of owner Connie Young. The original Sisters Gift Shop opened in July 2001 in Crestwood with the goal to encourage and uplift women of all ages and backgrounds. The shop moved two more times to accommodate the shop's needs.  Connie's first customers became loyal friends and a unique ministry was born.

Just as little girls grow up, so did Sisters.  Connie's heart yearned to expand Sisters into something more than a nice gift shop.  Her dream of inspiring women continued to inspire her. After a fateful trip to Destin, Florida in the fall of 2006, Connie had an ephinany that brought back a flood of memories.  Forgotten recollections of childhood tea parties with her grandmother and the quaint, but long closed, tea room she enjoyed with her daughters came rushing back.  She also recalled the short-lived dream she shared with her oldest daughter, Lori Crowe, of opening a tea room of their own going so far as looking at potential locations.  However, life and logistics got in the way and that dream fell by the wayside.         Now led by a new vision, Connie attended the "How to Open a Tea Room God's Way" seminar conducted by the former owners of Magnolia & Ivy with her husband Lonnie.  Six months later, in April 2007, Connie brought her daughter Lori into the sisterhood.  Baking since she was 14 years old, Lori's additional experience in management and passion for excellence paired perfectly with her mother's vision.  Together they turned the little pink shop into Sisters Tea Parlor & Boutique and just as little girls grow up, so did Sisters.  Within its peaceful walls one is invited into a world where the tranquility of Afternoon Tea at anytime of day will restore the spirit and refresh the heart. We invite you to visit Sisters Tea Parlor & Boutique. We are sure you will find we are a happy place.               In addition, we offer a full service Tea Bar. All of our teas can be prepared "take-away" style, meaning "to-go", for your convenience. Our fresh Southern Scones are available for take-away also.

Please call about our catering services.  Sisters Tea Parlor prepares sandwich trays, dessert trays, and scone trays for your special event.  Our wonderful layer cakes are also available in 8" and 10" sizes.  We are also now offering decorated sugar cookies by the dozen.  Please call 502-222-6420 for more information.

Press Release

Sisters Tea Parlor & Boutique in Buckner, Kentucky is a female owned and managed business.  Originally Sisters Gift Shop in Crestwood, Kentucky, Sisters opened in July 2002 for women, carrying inspirational books and gifts of encouragement and meaning.  After a fateful trip to Sandestin, Florida in 2006, the decision was made to expand Sisters Gift Shop by adding a tea parlor.  After a move to their current location in Buckner, their name changed to Sisters Tea Parlor & Boutique. Sisters’ mission is to fill a need for today’s woman.  The retail shop still carries unique gifts meant to uplift and empower women of all ages.  Their goal in the tea parlor is to create an atmosphere of peace where women can reconnect to themselves and build relationships at the tea table.  Visitors often remark that Sisters is a happy place.

In September 2007, just four months after opening the tea parlor, Sisters leased the adjacent space and opened two new dining rooms and built a second, larger kitchen to accommodate the growing tea parlor’s needs.  There are currently three separate dining rooms:  The Paris Pink Dining Room, The Fleur de Leis Drawing Room and The Garden Gate Room, as well as a separate Tea Bar for take-away tea, sweets and savories.  Public response has been overwhelmingly positive.  First time guests often admit they did not know what to expect.

Sisters Tea Parlor & Boutique is one of just a few true tea parlors in Kentuckiana.  Tea and the tradition of afternoon tea have existed for centuries; the concept itself is not new.  There is a growing community of tea enthusiasts in this country who understand the health benefits of both drinking tea and enjoying the ritual of afternoon tea.  Sisters Tea Parlor & Boutique has found itself in a position of educating the public at large who does not understand tea and the tea ceremony.   Owner Connie Young and Tea Parlor Manager Lori Crowe are available to speak to groups, large and small, about the fine art of tea and the many benefits of casual tea enjoyment.
